Question about Dryers
Beko DRVS 62S Hi, our Beko tumble dryer has suddenly stopped working. The power is on, and the drying LED, but the start LED is flashing. When I try to start any program the machine beeps twice but nothing happens. I've checked the child lock is off and tried turning the machine on in delicate mode with the buzzer cancel button held down to try to get it into test mode, but the start button keeps flashing and nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks.

Very easy on all tumble dryers.
UNPLUG FROM POWER FIRST!
This is simply a case of:
Take the top off the machine (Usually a couple of screws holding the lid on at the back).
Or - Rempove the inspection panel from the back
Drop the new belt over the drive motor spindle
On some machines you may need to thread the belt around a tensioning wheel
Now take the belt and place it on the side main wheel that drives the drum and simply spin the drum wheel with your hand, guiding the new belt into place as you spin the wheel.
It should simply stretch a little and work its way onto the wheel as it is hand turned.
Note, once it is on, take a look at the drive motor and make sure that the belt is sitting in the same place as the old one. Most of these motors have a slotted spindle and you can see from the clean and shiny surface where on the spindle the belt used to sit. If it is a little out of place, once again just take hold of the belt and pull it toward you or push it away as you spin the main drum wheel in order to move it into the correct slot.

First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.
Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for one model of Beko Tumble Dryer (DRVT 71):
To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.
This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.
You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.
See page 16 of that manual for detailed instructions and illustrations on how to operate the CHILD LOCK feature on that particular model of dryer. Hopefully the procedure will be similar enough to help you out with yours.
Basically it says to deactivate the CHILD LOCK feature, just press both the START/PAUSE/CANCEL button and the LOW TEMPERATURE button simultaneously, and then hold them both down for about 3 seconds.
Otherwise just comment back here and let us know the exact model number of your machine so we can track down the appropriate information for you.
I truly hope that was helpful to you.
Good luck and take care.
