Won't light Here ya go. I have a 170t reddy Heater and have used it quite a bit this winter. The other day it blew a fuse and I replaced it with the correct fuse. Now it will not light and the ignitor indiactor light comes on....so needing a heater I also have a 125t I used it very little this winter but I used it the other day and it ran off an on all day. The following day it would not light. However the fuse is fine in this unit but I am getting the ignitor indicating light again. Any Idea what is happening? Also burning a mixture of off road deisel and #2 fuel oil Same problem on Reddy Heater model 125T. I can plug it in, power comes on, but when i turn up the thermostat the ignitor light flashes and the heater does nothing. I have ran a test on the ignitor and it shows 44.8 ohms. Fuse is good. I have cleaned the nozzle and checked all hoses. Any ideas?

Are the ignitors intact? In other words, does the element make a loop back to the ceramic portion. The purpose of the LED is to notify the user of a defective ignitor. The other possibility is a bad control board.

If the ignitor is intact, but no power coming from the board (ignitor only glows for 5 seconds), then the board is bad or the fuse is blown. You might want to test the photocell while you are at it.

You will need to locate the correct model numbers to order the correct parts. "170T" & "125T" are only part of the correct model designation.

Post back if you have further questions.

Can you burn diesel fuel

Hi, If this heater is the Reddy 170,000 b.t.u. heater, model # 170t professional series, then yes you can.It is a multi-fuel heater. Fuels it can use are Kerosene, JP8, Jet A fuel, 1&2 Diesel fuel, and 1&2 fuel oil. It must be this model 170T.

My suggestion would be to clean the nozzle and the fuel lines. Make sure after they are clean you have a good mist from the nozzle.
