How, too slow, too fast ?
If it's too slow it could be a build up of dust and fluff that gets in to all laptops and blocks the fan or the vents on the side / back of the laptop case.
If it's too fast then it will need to be stripped down and the fault found by a technician.

My tempature in my 2003 buick century stays up and cools down while driving

could be a few things wrong, you have electric cooling fans on that model.
It has a fan relay that controls high as well as low speed for the fans.Could be stuck on low,the radiator or the water pump could be clogging and incorrect fluid flow is the problem, I would check the fan speed relays first and take the trouble shooting from there.Good luck,Gary

Overheating at high speeds on a 67 Mustang. Have replaced thr radiator, water pump, thermostat and flushed the system, still over heats at highway speeds.

Has the fan shroud been altered or is it missing? It helps funnel the air thru the radiator to cool the engine. The fan may have been switched out with an incorrect one at some point, leaving a gap at the shroud which isn't allowing proper air flow.

Replaced 3 speed switch now light only works when fan is on high speed

I'm guessing that it is wired incorrectly or the is a bad ground circuit.
Light does NOT work, now? On 2 lower speeds? That's beyond me.

What is the processor fan speed for Dell Vostro A860?

This could be the result of to much dirt build up in the heat sink ports blocking vital air flow. Buy a can of compressed air and blow it on fan any open ports, this should prove if the fans the issue, the speed should slow down because of increase air flow cooling the laptop. If this works the machine should be taken apart for better clean out.

The fan does not work on high speed

1)Sometimes fan motors will 'lose' a speed.

2) the switch could be 'wired' incorrectly and 'Hi Speed' is not connected.

3) the switch itself could be bad

good luck!

Hunter's remote systems are notorious for failures. We replaced ours before the fan was one year old, and then it did it again within a year after that. The warranty, of course was on the ORIGINAL part, not the new part, so Hunter will never help you out, even though their remote receivers (the part in the fan) are junk!
