Question about Motorola Mobility V300

1 Answer

Can't hear caller speaking on phone

I have a motorola v300 that's 1 year old i cannot hear the person who is calling me but i can hear them if i put it on speakerphone. It has not been damaged by dropping as far as I know. Oh, and i'm not deaf, so no silly remarks please. It's not the most discrete way of having a phone conversation and its driving me to the point that it's going in the bin soon. I cannot find in the menus a setting that might be the cause of it.

Just in case check the volume during a reciving call, the volume control both, speaker and speakerphone, as it, you got a damage speaker, go to the celu store and ask for a repair, they have jonks to do it for cheap...good luck

At times cannot hear the caller, becomes crackly??

the ear piece speaker which other speak into and you hear is damaged and it needs to be replaced to get clear listening of calls coming in.

When you replace it, you will start hearing clearly again.

Take care.

Incoming caller ring

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it. Unfortunately what callers hear is dependent on the phone they are calling from, not on your phone. You could concievably send them a mutimedia message when they call, but there is no way to automate this, and it would probably be too much trouble and expense to bother. Wait a year or two, and it may well be that manufacturers start including this feature - it would require a slight modification of the communications protocols on the cell networks, but it probably would be popular. Good idea. Hope this helps :)

6230i - Callers cant hear me speaking

Make sure that the microphone is not in the mute mode. Read the instructions for your phone, or fish through the menus to find where the setup is for the microphone default if the phone has this option.

I have also seen the microphone go defective in these phones.

Can't hear caller's voice

Turn up the volume control.  Don't have the manual in front of me but go into phone settings and look for the volume settings( not the ringer).  Check in your manual, you'll find it.

Can't hear caller

The earpiece speaker has gone bad. Unless you have access to a replacement speaker and can solder you will have to take the phone to you nearest Motorola service center.

Callers can't hear me speak

This is because the microphone in your phone got disconnected in some way. Probably a faulty contact. This is a known fault for some motorola phones. The solution would be to go to a service center and ask them to check your microphone. It isn't an expensive repair at all. They will be able to do this for you in about half hour or so. It is the safest way to do this, otherwise you will have to dissasemble the phone yourself and check the microphone.
