Try with a different SMPS to begin with if still faces issue clean the dust accumalated between cpu fan and heatsink as some motherboard automatically cuts off power when temperature of processer exceeds certain level. if still faces issue remove the ram chip and power it on without the same and see if you can see cpu fan staying on for quite a while if yes ram may be the cause please note as ram is not connected you will not see any display but this process is used for testing. if nothing works try to unplug the 2 small power switch connectors that connect the power switch on the ATX cabinet and the atx power pins on the motherboard and then short the power switch pins on the motherboard with a insulated screwdriver to power it up and see if it stays on, if yes the power switch is causing the issue. please reply with results.

Iomega 2 tb ego dead

This is an external HDD, right ? In such case it's good to realise, such devices are a combination of an external USB enclosure and an internal SATA Harddisk. Maybe the harddisk is still OK, but the PCB (print with all tiny electronic components soldered at it) is defective. In such case you can overcome your problem by simply buying a new USB enclosure (even non-name will do) and put your harddisk in it.
To check if the harddisk is damaged, you should remove this by opening the Iomega casing and connect this disc inside a PC to it's motherboard. If the harddisc is working again, you're lucky. If not, than even the harddisk is damaged. If this is, and the data at your disc is important, you can try to source a identical harddisk (brand, type and productiondate) and transplant it's PCB. But, I can asure you, this last option is a tricky step.

Virus on computer

Mcafee is not always solution provider. Use Node32 or Kesperskey antivirus. But as u say a blue error screen is coming u better need to format your pc. Format it and reinstall new OS. It is good solution because if you wait for something then virus might have affected many of your files. Then it can harm your harddisk. So better you format it and then u will have gud access to internet. Next time you download some good antivirus and run it live during accessing internet.
