Bluetooth or beam them to someone else's palm, have them sync it with they're computer and export it in a format like Comma Separated and transfer it to a flash drive of yours.

Or, if you have a laptop with infrared or bluetooth, transfer it to your computer.

Or, if you're really desparate, take a picture of each screenful of information (If you would normally use you palm as a camera and therefor not be able to take the picture, then buy a disposible camera). Or you could just right them all down by hand.

My palm pilot battery died. When i replaced the battery all mhy phone #'s and calendar. were gone. Is there a way to restore them?

Hello.

Unfortunately, the only way to restore the address info and calendar is if you have been backing up your info from your Palm to your computer. Use the bluetooth (if you have) or connect the cradle to hotsync and transfer all your info back to your Palm.

Hope this helps.

How can i install my palm up to the computer without the software? where can i find it?

Hello, Rosilin.

No problem. Here's the link for your Zire 72. You just need to choose Windows or Mac and download and install the Hotsync Manager software.

Hope this helps.

Pin in charge hole got loose then disappeared

Unfortunately this is a common problem, it can be repaired but unless you are an electronics technician I suggest you take it to the service provider if it's still under warranty. If not there will probably be a small fee. It may not be worth the cost to repair it so you may just want to replace the unit. Good luck

How to insert a sim card into my Palm Zire 72

No sim card in the Zire 72. On-board memory on the motherboard only to store records not directed to or on expansion memory card.
Zire 72 battery changeout not designed to be user serviceable. Undertake at your peril (unless you are very steady handed, patient, and very very careful). The 72 is probably the most difficult of the Palms to change batteries. Go to: http://forum.brighthand.com
Navigate to the Zire 72 section and read the posts. There are even detailed photos and uTube movies that deal with changing the battery. I have used their forum for years. Lots of help there.

No power and i cannot charge my palmone zire 72

Unfortunately Palm battery has a life cycle which is about 500 recharge after that will not charge well and will be end of its life. However you can replace the battery. Which can be obtained easily a 3.7V 700mA and above will work fine just make sure size will match

My PalmOne Zire 72 no longer re-charges. I think it might be the connection on the hand held unit itself. Does anybody here know where can I send it to have the repair done?

Its most likely caused by battery's life cycle has come to end. You may obtain a 3.7V OEM battery with same size of your original battery at least 700mA. you may replace if you wish to DIY or ask local repair tech assistance.

I dropped my palm zire 72 the screen is damaged can it be repaire

How much it will cost to repair it?

It's hard to answer it if a proper diagnostics has not been done on it to confirm what is working, and what is not.

It could be in the range of $50.00 to $200.00, depending of what is broken.

I am not telling you that somebody will take you for a ride with your PDA, but if multiple parts are broken, then will be necessary to replace them.

In the other hand, if only a connection is loose because of the drop, then no parts will be needed.

You can check different options to have a diagnostics p[erformed on your pda, and then make the decision if you want it repaired.

Such PDAs are sold in working conditions in Ebay in the range of $90.00 - $120.00.

I do recommend you to look for a technician service where the diagnoctics has a flat fee, and where is garanteed that a complete diagnostics and full quote will be given to you prior to perform the repair, and then compare such quote to the price of buy an used one.

Best regards,

You have a bad connection, or no connection to the digitizer. This is common when changing out batteries. Re-open the case and check the connector to the digitizer.

Palm LifeDrive not charging

I had the exact same annoying problem. Easy fix though. Get the palm universal cradle. The power connector is either worn or loose and making partial contact. So when you use the normal adapter there might be a position that works but generally it won't. When you use the cradle the weight of the LD presses the contacts more and it will behave.

I went through a couple of chargers before getting the cradle and fixing it once and for all.

My Palm Zire 72 will no longer charge

At first, before to want to be sure where is the problem is, you must do these sample tests: 1) Take out your battery and plug your power cord into your phone without battery. If : Power is on, there is definitely, your battery is bad and cannot hold a charge. If nothing happens, your internal battery may be dead and cannot hold charge so all info in your ROM of course has been washed away except the pre-load software by Palm. 2) At this step, you need to open your Palm if you know how to do to check for any bad connection between cable and use your volmeter to check the voltage output of your inner battery or can be called reserved battery whether it is have any power. If your reserved one has correct output voltage as in specs then check all connection around your power supply part to see any crack or defect. Please reviews the link below for detail: http://palmtops.about.com/od/pdarepair/Maintenance.htm I hope these info will give you some hints.
