Magnavox tv model # 13mt1532-17. Need code to disable the smart lock system. Can you help?

Magnavox sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for Philip sets is 0711, although it may say "Incorrect code" the first time to trick you. If "Incorrect code" is displayed, simply enter 0711 again. To use it hit the MENU key to get to the menus. Go up or down until you reach AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK, depending on the model, and push the "right arrow" key on the remote. Enter the override code, and enter it a second time if it says it is incorrect.

The code for disabling "SmartLock" on this TV (Magnavox 20MS2331/17) is definitely 0711

However, you will need to enter this code twice.

1. When the TV asks for the Access Code, enter 0 7 1 1 using the numerical keys on the remote;
2. "INCORRECT CODE" will appear on the TV screen after entering the code.

This is just a trick - an addition part of the security system.

3. Enter 0 7 1 1 again. The TV will now unlock.

This code is the default code and also the override code should a personal code ever be set and forgotten. This code cannot be removed. It simply needs to be entered twice. If you are not getting the message "INCORRECT CODE" on the TV screen after entering the code the first time, then it would appear that your remote control is not working.

Please try again and make sure you are entering the code twice. If it still wont unlock - or you are not getting the "INCORRECT CODE" message on the TV screen, please let me know.

Press the Menu button on your remote.Scroll through the menu to the smart lock feature. The access code will be 0711 unless it has been changed. If this is not the correct code or you lost the code just unplug the unit for about 30 seconds. The 0711 code will then work. You can then chose to turn the Master Block off or change your blocked rating settings.

I called Philips Magnavox at 1 888 744 5477 and they told me the default ACCESS CODE number is 0711. It works on my TV though it didn't solve MY problem of the TV defaulting to Chanel 9 every time I turn it on. Drats. Hope this helps.

do you have a 3 digit code for RCA TV for the philips universal remote?

A model number for your Magnavox TV would be helpful because the Parental Control Reset procedure varies. There should be a sticker on the back of the TV showing the model number. If you have a newer LCD model, the unlock code is usually 0711. Ignore any "Incorrect" warning and enter 0711 again. Then set or clear the Parental Access Code.
