IT looks like it might not be accepting the type of security on the router..try changing the security typa it might work.
(P.S. YOu might need to re-connect all the wireless computers to the new network once you change the security.)
type 192.168.1.1 into your browser and hit enter. This will take you to your router page.
If you have never been to this page before this is a list of defualt passwords to enter your page. Linksys BEFW11S4, WRT54G: admin Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Ethernet routers: Administrator Linksys Comcast routers: comcast All other Linksys routers: [none] Default passwords: Linksys BEFW11S4: [none] Linksys Comcast routers: 1234 All other Linksys routers: admin
From here you can set your own wireless security mode and generate a passphrase or key to lock out intruders. Hope this helps...Good luck

Then set one as (ap repeater) access point router..
ok try this
what type of internet do you have? does your internet require a username and password to connect ? Im not familiar with verizon but I believe you will have to input the information such as username and password for the PPPOE conenction on the router to be able to access the internet from the modem and be able to send the signal as a wireless internet from your router, try getting in your belkins GUI graphical user interface to be able to change the settings for the PPPOE connection from the modem to work and give access to the router on this case ^_^
This is beacuse there is NAT on the router for which you need to open certain TCP/UDP Ports on the router . but firtstly you need to Bridge the Verizon DSl Modem set up the internet connection as per same .
You will need to check the wireless settings of the router. For that, you will need to access the set up interface of the router. Here you can change the wireless network name and secure the wireless network. Click Here to know more about route set up
Do you have anything else using the wifi to connect? If it is working then we can rule out the router wifi hardware as a problem.
Can you connect to any other wifi using your gateway? If you can then the problem isn't you hardware.
Can you see other computers on your wifi net but not get out to the Internet? Then the problem is you need to change your settings to include a gateway number. This will be the ip number of the router.
If you can't see any computer or when you look at status you see that the received packets of the connection are zero or very low compared to sent then the problem is most likely not having the security settings correct. This is a WEP key or WPA key that unlocks/unscrambles the signal.
Anything is possible but it would take a lot of work to jam wireless signals. As a communications company, Verizon, if caught would be in hot water with the FCC. I have an idea. Are you able to change channels on your wireless and try it. Also, is there anyway you could try a different wireless router? If FIOS is coming in, there may be maintenance changes in the infrastructure that effect your internet performance.
Verizon uses PPOE(point to point protocol over ethernet) and Comast does not use PPOE. Therefore she needs to get inside the router 126.96.36.199(user:admin & pdw: admin) to disable the "PPOE". Oh and also, the router needs to be hard wired to the computer for reconfiguration to take place...hope this helps
