Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines
It sounds like your drain is kluged up, you have to open the bottom cover (make sure you have a bucket) and drain all the water out, remove what ever it is that's in that filter and check the hoses too.
Don't bother calling GE, with what they going to charge you, you could buy your self a new machine.
