Make certain that you have the audio\video plugs in the right holes. Take note of where you plugged the cables in at, there should be a label like "aux input3" or something similar. After ensuring the cables are in their right place turn the PS2 on and navigate to the aux input.

Ok, Hope this helps. Did you try all your input options? Not just channel 3. The TV remote and TV panel would allow for access to all the input channels.. The manual should be available from the manufactures website or the TV it' self may have a input indentifier located in thespot to where you've connected the PS2.

Good luck..

We had our ps2 hooked up to an old rca tv and was using the satelite remote for it channel had to be on 00 for the ps2 to work. We got a new tv and hav moved the rca and ps2 to another place but don't...

New tv's don't use dead channels like 00 anymore for there inputs.. They use sources to change from different inputs.. Make sure you have your ps2 hooked up into input plugs on the tv and then turn it on the ps2 then look on the new controller for the tv & find a button saying source .. Press that until you see your ps2 on the screen. If not check your connections try again.

I have a Toshiba CF27H50 that just stated losing the picture after about an hour of viewing. After an hour, it starts to flicker and then the picture just is lost and it just goes to black/snow screen and...

This is a common symptom of tuner trouble. A common problem is bad solder connections inside. As the set warms up, small cracks on joints from the tuner circuit board to its metal case can cause the trouble you describe. If you tap on the TV or wiggle the connector where the antenna or cable line goes, the picture will sometimes pop back in if this is the case. It's also possible the tuner has parts that quit working as they warm up. The only way to know for sure is to remove the tuner, check over the connections, repair any that are iffy, and see if the trouble continues. This is not a repair for a do-it-yourselfer, though, because of the soldering involved.

If the trouble isn't bad connections in the tuner, there's not much you can do. I've checked the parts sources I use. The original Toshiba part is no longer available and I haven't found any replacement. If you're using a cable box or other video source, you can keep using the TV just for its AV inputs and not worry about the tuner any more. Otherwise, given repair labor cost and lack of parts, it's probably more economical to replace this TV instead of trying to repair it.

Connecting Ps3 with philips tv (full hd) when i got hd cable in, and click to switch so the ps3 uses hd to show things and i than switch over to the channel i plugin the hdmi cabel it gives blac kscreen

If it's the first time using your PS3, use the composite cables that came with it. Turn on the PS3 go to video settings and switch the input to HDMI. After you've switched to HDMI, turn the PS3 off and connect your HDMI cable, go back to video settings and change the resolution to 1080p. If this isn't the first time you've used HDMI for your PS3, make sure your T.V. is on the correct input. If the T.V. is on the correct input, try switching the HDMI cable to a different input. If that doesn't work try using a different HDMI cable, testing different HDMI connections if you're still getting the black screen. If none of those work then it's probably a problem with the PS3, but just to make sure try plugging something else with HDMI to see if that works. If another HDMI device works, then it's your PS3, if it doesn't then it could be a problem with your HDMI connections on the T.V.

Power comes on - screen says NO SIGNAL. Have already checked cable line with another TV and it works fine. Have we hit something on the remote that has put it into that mode?

The only reason your TV would say "no signal" is that it's searching an input for a signal and not finding it. That being said, Yes, You've probably hit the "input" button on your remote. Easily fixed by selecting a different input or changing the channel on the television.

Sylvania (SRD3900) DVD Player / VCR Combo i can't seem to plug in the red/white/yellow cables into the right places directly to my old toshiba tv to play either tapes or dvds. can you instruct me? thanks.

Greetings - It's very simple so I'll show you how and then I think it may be another problem (nothing broken).

You need to plug the corresponding color cables into to outputs on your player I've circled above and then into the corresponding inputs on the TV. You've probably done this correctly.
PLUS - You have to, using the remote for the player, set the source to either DVD or VCR and then you have to, finally, on your TV set the input (with the remote) to what is called probably VIDEO or VIDEO1. If there is still nothing on the screen keep (with the DVD or Tape playing) hitting the TV remote input button until you see an image or you've come around to where you started.

Unless something is broken (unlikely) you should be able to watch DVD's or Tapes depending on what input you select on the player.

If it's not working you've somehow missed a step or the Video input on the TV is called something else. If that happens come back here and give the player AND TV brand/model info and someone will be able resolve your problem.

Good Luck and thanks for using Fix Ya.

If you have the remote, look for the source button. It should allow you to toggle the settings.

Otherwise they are usually after channel 2 as in Hdmi, Av1, AV2 etc..

For me it sounds like the TV treats the incomming signal as a SVHS signal. I have had the same problem with a SEGA dreamcast back in the days. In my case it was a quite simple setting in one of the TV menus.

Try different video inputs. (and SCART adapters) This is also is a important step. Some older TV's doesn't have SVHS support at some of the SCART inputs, and in your case that will be a good thing.
But as you said, you maybe already have tried this.

Don't know if this was any help for you but i wish you good luck!
(Because PS2 is still really fun playing)
