- black screen when tv is switched on - no picture. however 1-2 weeks later when switched on picture is visible - this could last 1 day approx.should tv be scrapped?- lleechong

you probably have a short in the horizontal circuit and an open resistor in the power supply, but there are nothing that regular people can do, you gona need a tech, normaly is not to espesive to repair it, if you dont know about tv, dont try to repair it there are very dangerous areas in the tv circuits....good luck

No solution, but boy i GOT zapped when pullin out the plug from the back of the tube. Dumb move and it was on. Did I experience 120 volts from the outlet? I was on my knees and it made me fall forward. Are there other areas of the TV that you can get zapped from when the power is not plugged in? Ben please respond to bbrumitt at gmail if possible. thanks

i have a phillips flatscreen plasma sound works but no picture.What can i do to fix it. is ther a chance that it could be something simple? or is this going to cost me a small fortune to fix.
