I just got a 16GB itouch and installed a few apps on there and it worked the first day but now the apps load for a few seconds and go back to the main screen... how do i fix this? My cousin has an iphone and she had to uninstall and install all of the apps or restarted the phone, but that was the only way she could do it... is there another way? I heard there was something i could download to fix it... any ideas?

Generally in the itunes store under requirements it tell you that the application is compatible with either iphone, ipod touch or ipad. You should note that the ipod touch is what you seem to call the itouch.
This is generally a problem with the app that you have installed and not with your ipod touch. I've had this happen with several apps that were designed before OS 3.0 came out. The only thing to do is to wait for an update from that app.
I think it is that you might have to restore your ipod to its original firmware and reinstall the apps. If this doesn't help, call apple and let them fix your itouch. Also these days, anyone that jailbreaks their itouch gets their itouch screwed because apple does not allow jailbreaking.
i dont think i can help you fix this but if you jailbreak your ipod, they make an app which helps you compensate for the broken home button. i stumbled across it the other day while surfin through apps in installer. look up "ziphone" in google and procede from there to find the app which fixes your problem! give me good rating if this helps
