DS3300 when plugged in doesnt automatically download VFs

When plugged in via USB I can see it in the system tray, but the Olympus app. normaly opens and begins to download from the handheld to the folder A that was created upon installation.. Not doing so... I open the software and the device is there and I will then need to go into the folder on the handheld and manually download the VF and then manually convert it to .WAV.. shouldn't be due to the download options are all set to

1. After detecting device, download all audio files
2. After downloading file, delete orginal file
3. Convert DSS files to WAV during download.

can someone please help, thanks in advance

Olympus SP500 connection problems to Windows 7 via USB port. Software is unable to find an Olympus digital camera on a USB port on your computer.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Olympus fe 4000 - when plugged into the computer doesnt work

Is the computer or the camera telling you the battery is bad? If it's the computer, you might have some bad pins on the camera, or your usb cable may have a problem with it. If the camera is reporting this on it's screen, not sure what the problem is there. I would instead, just transfer the pictures to the computer via a card reader through the USB port. Check your printer- many printers these days have memory card slots on them, and you can transfer pics to the computer through them.

I want to transfer my photos from Olympus Master to an email. I can't seem to find my pictures the way I used to with my old camera. I used to be able to find the photos in my documents. Please help......

Need more info, but you might be better off just to get a multi card reader for about $20 - $30.

1. Plug your multi card reader to your computer via USB port
2. push in your memory card from your camera
3. Memory card will automatically open, or you can open from "my computer" folder.

Multi card reader will come with instructions anyway.

Unless someone else on the forum offers something more specific, I'd be very tempted to borrow a USB cable from a friend and see if using that instead of yours works. (Doesn't have to be from an Olympus camera - anything that has the same connectors on - camera, MP3 player, etc lead will do). A.
