Why wont my motion sensor light turn off?

My motion sensor lights have been on for 24hours. I've tried switching it on, then off and on again quickly, then off for more than 10seconds to reset but it still won't turn off. I've adjusted the time, light sensitivity and distance dials, but it wont turn off. Before trying to adjust the dials, the red light would flash twice, every 5 seconds. Now it only does that if I physically move the sensor.

I have motion sensor flood lights that are not turning on. I put it on test & it does turn on. But when switched over to 1, 5 or ten minutes it won't turn on. The red light on the sensor does turn

April, you didn't mention whether you did the test at night. In addition to motion sensing, the flood light also detects darkness before allowing the bulbs to light up. If it is night, check also that some other light source is not illuminating the sensor. If so, that could fool the sensor into thinking it is daytime.

Motion sensor outdoor light won't go off

How long has this been going on? Has this light fixture been updated recently? Has the lite switch been changed that operates this fixture?

1998 Mystique wont start, ignition turns over but acts like it's not getting gas.

Does the check engine light go OUT while cranking? If not , if it stays ON, you've got a bad crankshaft position sensor. These can fail with intermittent no starts. So just when you have it towed it, it'll start working again. Check engine light is supposed to go OUT if it's getting good signal from the sensor.

My finepix s3400 will not turn on. I've tried almost everything and I'm really annoyed. Is there something i can do to fix it?

Mine wont turn on either, the battery is fully charged and inserted properly. I can tell this as the pre-flash light comes on but nothing else, the only way to get the pre-flash light off again is to remove the battery.

Why does my light keep flashing on and off when nobody is around?

There can be a number of reasons why this problem occurs.

A) It's possible that the battery life is too low after some time of usage. Please replace all 3 batteries with new ones.
B) Your product needs resetting (very similar compared to rebooting up your computer). Please follow directions below:

  1. Rotate the motion sensor white ball facing at a 45 degree angle downward.
  1. Use at least 3 pieces of black tape and place it over the photo sensor completely to simulate darkness. The photo sensor looks like a small circle located on the top right hand side of the 8 or 10 LED's.
  1. Turn the Light ON and then OFF. Please repeat this process 3 times.
  1. Then switch it to AUTO.
  1. Place the Light against the wall on the floor. Make sure the Light is facing upward leaning against the wall. The LED's should be facing towards you.
  1. Step back at least 25 feet away from the Light. Do not move otherwise the Light will turn on. Wait until the Light starts to dim down and turn off (approximately 20 seconds).
  1. When the Light turns off, wait for approximately 4 seconds and then approach the Light waving your legs and arms. The motion sensor should be able to detect your movement and then the Light should turn on.

You have just completed the resetting process. Now you may return the Light back to where it was installed. Be sure to leave the switch at AUTO and remove the black tape.

The remaining 3-way switch needs a jumper wire.
See if your instruction manual shows the same thing as image below.
Let's go through this.
The yellow wire connects to a traveler ... and that traveler connects to one of the brass screws on 3-way switch.
The black wire from Motion sensor also connects to a traveler wire ... BUT you have to identify which traveler wire and which brass screw that traveler wire connects to. And then, put a jumper wire (a short piece of wire) from that brass screw to the dark-colored screw.
I think that will do it.
Add a comment if your device is different.

Some of these electronic devices are reversed when two of their wires are connected together.
That's what the jumper wire is doing. So the 3-way switch is just connecting and disconnecting the black and yellow wires, and that action reverses the circuit in the motion device.

Motion Light doesn't work on switch

Try turning the switch on and off and back on again this usually will bypass the motion detector. when you are finished you can turn the switch off for a few seconds and back on and it will resume its normal function
