Question about Computers & Internet
I have to access the "8" and "2" Num lock keys to control the viewing area of a movie playing in Classic Media Payer My Laptop is not fitted with a numeric keypad.
I've been unable to find a solution, but other sites seem to say it's something to do with the [Fn] key toggling it.
@Vigil Rapheal, that's spam, doesn't work, and DOES NOT HELP! Read the OP
@M4ch_n, Did you read the OP? He's asking about how to access the Numpad Feature on Laptops that don't have a real Numpad. He is NOT saying that his (Non-existant, btw) Numpad doesn't work, so System Restore doesn't help.
Sorry if this is Necro-posting, but I was a little mad about the fact that people are not paying attention to a question.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hello susan, if the numlock key doesnt work.
id recommend for you to do a restore.
just type in restore on the seach bar after you press the start button on the lower left habd side of your screen.
this lets you go back to the previous setting when it last worked.
Send us a feedback if it works.

I'm afraid that is not possible. The only way to overcome this is to get a full size USB keyboard and plug it into the laptop's USB port and type using the full size keyboard.

SOURCE: Num Lk won't work
Press F2 when booting to access the BIOS and look for the numlock setting. There are options as to how the numlock behaves. Change this setting to your preference, save your changes and restart.
