Re: printer says paper jam, but no paper in there
Use a flash light check all paper path, specially the area around the toner. all you need is a small piece or other (dust). There is a micro switch that detect the paper travel. so if anything preventing the switch to open, you will get error message.
after that, open the toner door, reseat the toner and close the door. the pirnter should return to normal.

hi.... Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set
button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in
the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow
down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number
is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.
This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart,
try this step by step.without missing any thing.

1. Remove all USB devices such as printers, mp3 players etc etc.
2. Remove the power-cable and the battery
3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
4. Put the power-cable back in but not the battery and none the USB devices.
5. Turn the computer on
Also check the condition of the USB ports if it doesnt work and the fuse. If this doesnt work then I would recommend a repair.
Hi the power supply fan is jammed because of some object stuck - this could be some broken plastic component of the fan or the protection grill could be jamming it . Do not switch your comp before checking this out because inadequate or no air cooling can damage your computer .In Power off condition with a small screw driver try rotating the fan manually or by blowing air into the fan , it should spin smoothly else your power supply to be replaced .
Some times there is a little piece of paper stuck in there.
I don't know what make/model of printer you have but this ussually works.
Unplug the printer, switch the paper lever to the envelope setting, take a strip (about an inch wide should work) of card stock and run it up (the opposite direction that the paper runs) through the paper path, sliding it back and forth, it should dislodge anything that is stuck in there.
It is sort of like flossing the printer, but don't be too rough with it, you don't want any of those little parts to come off.
When you are done plug it back in and see if it works.
First check under DEVICE Manager to see if you have uninstalled drivers....if so follow the install routine (i.e. update driver)...and if you do not have the driver disk (usually it comes on the Motherboard software disk) point at Microsoft....often you can find the generic driver and it will install automatically. As for a power supply problem....probably not or you would have other strange things happening....PS...assume you have already solved the problem. I just happened to notice it and started a response before I noticed the date. Tango.
