Question about Washing Machines
1 minute after switching on power (from cold), I get error code E.6 and the flash won't work. Turning the unit off and on again solves the problem for another 60 seconds. If I use the flash within 60 seconds, it works fine - until 60 seconds elapse without it being fired, then get the error code and have to switch off/on again. Just prior to this problem I changed the flash tube which, as far as I can tell, went without a hitch. The unit is COLD - it never gets a chance to warm up, so it shouldn't be heat-related. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If there is power and lights are showing, but the door will still not open, then it could be one of several things.
First and foremost the door lock could be faulty, or the door handle or latch mechanism could be faulty or broken, if the door lock is not getting power then it is probably the main cotrol unit at fault.
I feel you should get someone to look at it for you.

The fact that you have 240V to the valve does not prove that the valve is o/k. Determine which is the live wire, and leave connected to valve coil.
You need to remove the neutral wire from the valve, and test with your meter that as well as having 240V going in, you have 240V coming out on the other terminal, if you have not , then you have a faulty valve..Simply replace it.
I assume that you have a neutral feed to the valve, because if you have not, then the fault is probably in the pcb board.
The coils on these valves often go open circuit.
Plz rate my solution.
