Re: remove lizard waste

Well many client try in the past to do it your self, with tv screens, somes did it but the rest has to call a tech to fix what they broke, how you clasified your self, average, good, or bad, you decide if you do it, but I recomend a tech, all the way down gona be cheaper, and remember, there are very dangeruos parts in a tv circuit...good luck

My screen on my tv was dim for about 3 days and then when i tried to turn it on i heard a popping news and it now will not power back on.

The problem of your unit is the lamp, try to replace new lamp follow this instructions. Unplug your unit to main AC outlet, remove the protective panel. The location of the lamp assembly will vary, try to read the owners manual before proceeding. The removable lamp assembly is at the of the TV, either on the back or at the side. Remove the small screws that hold the protective panel in place and slide off the panel. Disconnect the lamp assembly. Loosen the one or two screws that hold the lamp assembly in place. On some units, the screws will loosen but remain attached to the assembly. Hold the plastic handle on the lamp assembly and pull the assembly straight out. Note do not touch the bulb with your bare hands. Insert the new bulb assembly. Replacement lamps are usually sold pre-installed in a plastic assembly. Do not touch the bulb. good day and best regards.

this has to be the oddest thing i have ever heard happen to a TV. if anything it might be a provider problem. if thats not the problem it might just be a faulty part in the TV. it might also be the matrix trying to contact you. :D

Tv won't stay

It sounds like the convergence went out. STK 394-250 and some pico fuses. Check that the error code is 2.2 before you replace any parts.

To check the error code simply hold down the menu and device buttons for 5 sec and count the flashes inbetween pauses. Goodluck.

Cleaning a projection tv screen protector

Most of the time there are screws comming in from the back holding the front piece to the back with the screen inbetween. They are probably something you will need a small socket or a allen key set for. Good luck.

Insects crawling up the mirror on the inside of the TV, ready to be killed.

there should be a cheaper solution. maybe look on the net for imformation on ants. you just have to convince them to leave! The tv when its on is warm. you need them to walk out of the tv as the could cause faults if they die in there.

Liquid leaked into tv

Hi Tracy,
I have the sweetest grandchildren and tey are always willing to help also, so we have to love the children for all their wonderful help. ( NOT !!! ) But lets not send your son to the adoption web sight just yet. I'll start by letting you know ( in a sigh of releif for you ) that your tv is not damaged forever, although, when the windex drys, you will probably see a dirt stain on the screen, since the windex probably did it's job and cleaned the dirt off, unfortunatly the residue is between the screens. You have 2 layer of plastic screens for your TV. One is a lexan shield and the other is a riffled substance plastic. To seperate the two of them, you need to take the front of the TV off, normally by removing screws from the inside of the TV ( this can be a tricky job and I really suggest you have a pro do it if you haven't worked on TV's in the past ). If you do it, be extra careful not to break the screen or sheild after removing as they can get a bit pricey. When you take them out, they will seperate ( one lays on top of the other, no real trick to them ) and then just grab your windex ( the remains of the bottle that your son left you ) and clean them like you would glass. Of course after you clean the screens, replace them in the oppisite proceedure of taking them apart and wella, all is ok again and junior remians a loving and helpful son. smiling. I hope this helped. Nice day.

Spider on screen

You must remove the top back cover, but be careful and handle it gently because the mirror is attached to the inside of that cover. When the cover is removed you will be able to clear out any spiders, spiderwebs and dust and be sure to clean the 3 lenses on top of the 3 picture tubes.
