Question about Home Satellite Radios
I AM JUST ABOUT TO GET MY OLD PACE MSS 1000 WIRED TO RUN AGAIN AND WOULD LIKE HELP WITH THE WIRING INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE DISH AND MAINS ETS TO GIVE TO MY ELECTRICIAN
You will need a low loss co-axial av cable from the dish lnb tp the receiver (normal centre core and braided outer) . The electrical supply is normally by plug-in to a domestic outlet, 13 amps 240v in the UK

Tips for a great answer:

I think the problem with my humax 5400z is similar to yours.
Both 5400 & 5400z have the same power supply unit.
I just solved it this evening by changing C9.
It's a 1500 μF 10V electrolytic capacitor. Be careful not to reverse the polarity my friend.
If you have problems to find the capacitor just e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll send you pics showing the location of that C9 capacitor on tthe psu board.
Hope this could help you.
