Printer was delivered with control panel flush with front of machine - then it popped out at an angle - Can't see how to put it back flush to repack and don't want to force anything. What's the trick? thanks roger
For more detailed instructions, please refer to this article from the Lexmark website on How to Collapse/Lower the Operator Panel on the Pro200, S300, S400, S500, and S600 Series Printer Models.
I hope this information has been helpful.
Testimonial: "Prompt and effective advice - wouldn't it be useful for this information to be included in simple set-up instructions - though? I've now discovered that their is what appears to be a container for the ink cartridges packed in plastic in the centre of the printer - presumably I'm supposed to remove this plastic holder and insert it into the left side of the printer internals so that I can install the cartridges - yet there is nothing to tell me how to do it and it certainly isn't obvious - I'm not a 'fiddler' and treat my equipment with respect and without force so I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. If you can help with this, too - that would be great but it may be on the Lexmark web-site or on the software disk so I'll install that and see - it certainly isn't in the printed literature that came with the printer. Thanks again, mate."
Regarding your concern about setting up the printer hardware itself, try to insert the printer software installation disc into the computer hard drive and simply follow the prompt on your computer screen. While the software is installing, it will also show you detailed instructions (with animation to better assist you) on how to setup the printer.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:
1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.
2. Re-brick your printer.
Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the
back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers
and Faxes.
3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
4. Reboot your pc.
5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.
6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
