Question about Microsoft Computers & Internet
It's all done in software. Go to Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options . Double-click on this and a window will open with 3 tabs. Click the 'Regional Options' tab, and you'll see 2 drop-down menu boxes. In the upper one, select your language, and in the lower one, your country. Then click on the 2nd tab; 'Languages'. Click on 'details' and another box will open. In the upper bit, 'default input language', select your language required (ie, English UK, or English US) , then, and this is the crucial part, you'll see further down the box, 'Installed Services', and probably 2 keyboards (maybe the one you require, and lower down, the one your system is actually using. This is the one you have to select, by clicking on it, and go to the button that says 'remove'. Click that. Then click the 'Apply' button at the bottom. You may get a message saying something like 'this keyboard is in current use and change will take place after reboot' then after you have clicked 'Apply' then 'OK' click the remaining open box 'Apply' and 'OK' to close all the open boxes, then reboot your system. You should now be ok!Regards,nicam49
