Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
I just bought one. They are great! But there were no instructions in the packaging. I bought it from Godfreys and have always found them very helpful so maybe call them if my instructions below don't help. I just went with what I thought was right and haven't had any problems. 1 ensure appliance is turned off and unplugged. 2 press down and twist cap to release then it will unscrew all the way out. 3 fill with a maximum of 220mls of water (it comes with a little filling jug like you would get with an iron and it the max level on it is 220mls so I have assumed this is the amount you need) 4. Screw cap back on and on the final turn push cap down tight and twist - this appears to lock the cap in place. 5. Plug in and turn on 6 Let it heat for about a minute 7. Choose the connector - I find the best one is the one with the little brush attached. 8. Make sure the hose is locked into place on the unit properly. You need to slide it on then twist to lock. Same with the connector on the other end. 9. Face the hose and nozzle end away from you and squeeze the trigger on then back of the appliance. Happy steam cleaning! Ps I find it best to use the steam in burst of no more than 20 to 30 seconds as it seems to need a second or two now and then to build pressure/heat during use. I could be wrong but it seems to work better for me this way anyway.

Thank you Nadinerquinn - your posting in regards to the Steam Matey is excellent and I too have had very good success with this product and I am grateful to you for the instructions on 'how to open the cap'.
