When u want to burn a file inside a CD/DVD.... It depends on the file you are burning... But before burning to nero 8, you use follow the option given to you... if it still doesn't work...... you try nero 9, if it still doesnt work... then you should try the local way which is copy the file and paste it on the CD/DVD disk

When you go to burn a cd/dvd there should be and option for you to tick that allows you to burn the cd/dvd for other computer etc... to use too, before you click on burn have a look around for the options on that page

Hi!! I have a Dell Vostro 1310 with Windows 7 Ultimate installed and I was burning a DVD with Nero Express when it suddenly froze. I restarted the computer and when I put a DVD back into it, it doesn't...

It is probably a nero quirk. You will not be able to read the disk you were writing as there will be no table of contents written to it which is [ossibly why it failed.
Re install Nero or load the latest updates before trying again.

DVD Writing Problem

The specs on your PC can be found by clicking here. From what I read on this page, you can record CDs, but only read DVDs. So, to burn DVDs, you would need to purchase and install a DVD burner. They are pretty inexpensive right now, so if someone in your area is handy with PC stuff, they could install one within 10 minutes for you.

Good Luck

I have tried to format a DVD,is the ACER ASPIRE 4310 Capable to record and use DVD's?

That's easy; you can't format DVDs on anything. You can format DVD+RAM if you want, but you want to be sure to use UDF filesystem 3.5 or so. DVD+R and DVD-R are already formatted, and you can only write them.

Your Acer's barely up to the job, but it can burn at 8-12x, I should think. Athlon XP 2700 are the low bar for burning at 12x. What matters most of course is whether a DVD burner is installed, and it seems that it is from what you can do so far....

I suspect what's missing here is DVD recording software, which you need to make much use out of a DVD burner and DVD-R blanks. Windows doesn't quite do it itself, though it pretends to be able to format blanks and have a way to burn backups to DVD, nobody should try that unless they want to see what an electronic Judas Chair Simulator feels like (thanks Tycho of Penny-Arcade.com!) If you're on Linux, just pick the tool you like or find a likely recent revision using Freshmeat.net; on Windows, you would use Nero ( http://www.nero.com/enu/store-upgrade-center.html ) which costs around $100, especially if your burner didn't already come with it (usually keyed on the serial number....) There are free options too; just check Freshmeat.net or VersionTracker.com to find out the variety of tools out there and what they're for.

That is, if you want to make DVD-videos out of some video you shot, that's different from just burning DVDs; checking out what's out there and some of the books (perhaps by reading some on the shelves or attending a video user group in your city) might help.

I want to burn photos from a folder in HP Image Zone to a dvd, but cannot figure out how. Can you help me?

1. First, you need a program that will allow you to burn to CDs and DVDs. Nero is a good one. Go to www.nero.com and download a trial version.
2. Run the program. Tell it that you want to make a data DVD, and select the folder that you want to burn. Then Select add, and it will add that folder.
3. Click on burn.

Really with Nero you just follow the onscreen instructions.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as FixYa. Thank you.
