Question about Sony Cameras
While turning on message pops up:"turn the power off and on again" and is unable to use any functiions
Lens is stuck out of position. Usually useless to turn on and off. IC overheated

Sounds like a jammed lens block assy.Does lens make any attempt to open??.Did camera get a knock or fall.Not much you can do but send for repair,Would advise get estimate before proceeding with repair.,

If you want to reset DSC-W30, press Menu and go to Initialize, select it and press OK
Camera will be RESET and go to factory default settings.

Your zoomunit is defective. Rotronica has replacements for this camera.
Or contact your Sony repaircenter.

imager is going bad due to moisture. try using hair dryer to dry it out. if not flat rate to sony is around 120
