You say you have heard. From who? If the directions is correctly followed, you should have no problem.

My sideburns are turning white but unevenly. I want them white. How?

Three solutions to this: you can dye them to match either bleaching the darker side till it's lightest blonde and adding a grey toner (hard to match and quite damaging, use a tone colorant which is a few shades lighter to color the white hair only (looks natural If done properly) while your hair is in that stage. Or shave your head.

I want to color my hair but I do not know what shade to go for. How can I make a decision without ending up with a dramatic change in my color?

You don't have to pick a color that is totally different from your natural hair color. The whole point is to enhance your hair look, not to dramatically change you. You should pick a shade that is only a couple of shades away from your natural color. Choose a good make, like L'Oreal and pick a color that is marked 'natural' on the box.

I have a client we have bleached her hair twice but still have a gold band in the middle I do not want to hydrolize her hair any more what do I do to get it all to the the same color without damaging it...

You can either color the whole head a darker blonde or try and tone the gold band with a violet toner. Depending on how gold the band is and the color of the remaining hair, I would recommend using Redken Shades EQ in 9V. You will have to watch it closely in the shampoo bowl to make sure to get it just right and not over tone the rest of the hair.

I use redken brandy hair color. What other brands have a color close to brandy?

That's such a subjective issue that I think it best if you go to a health and beauty shop and research the alternatives. Due to chemical studies done recently, many companies have changed their hair color chemical compounds/dyes and just going on the "name" of a color may not "match" what you are seeking. You really have to see the actual color samples to make a choice that is satisfactory to you.Best wishes.
