Question about Poulan Wild Thing 2375 18" Gas Chain Saw 2.5 Cuin
THE CHAINSAW DIED AND WONT START. THE PLUG IS GETTING FIRE THE GAS BULB IS GOOD AND IS GETTING GAS. IT SEEMS LIKE THE KILL SWITCH IS ON OR SOMETHING WILL NOT START JUST DIED Everything was great running fine turned it off, it wont start . I even tried a new plug.
I doubt if it is the kill switch. If it is, then there should be no spark at the plugs. Initially, pls remove again the spark plug and try to start the motor. The idea is to dry out the combustion chamber in case for some reason it has flooded. Pls do this (starting without the plug) a couple of times. Thereafter, leave it alone for about half an hour. On you next try, with the kill switch OFF, try to cover the sparkplug hole with a finger and crank the engine, if there is compression, the pressure will pop out your finger. if gas is coming inside the combustion chamber, you would know by your fingertip. If there is compression and gas is coming in, replace the sparkplug. Turn on and start.
Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Maybe the thermal sensor in the engine is overheated..it is inthere to keep the engine from frying.
