Kenmore 11025102310 washer isnt working. I press the start button, and the sensing button lights up for just a second and there is a couple of minutes of a grinding type of noise but then nothing.

SENSING Page 5

When the START/PAUSE/Unlock Lid is pressed, the washer will first perform a self-test on the lid lock mechanism. You will hear a click, the basket will make a slight turn, and the lid will unlock briefly before locking again. Once the lid has locked the second time, the washer will use short, slow spins to estimate the load size. These sensing spins may take 2 to 3 minutes before water is added to the load and you may hear the hum of these spins. If the sensing light is on, then washer is working properly. You will hear the motor turn the basket in short pulses to thoroughly wet the load. The washer will then move the load briefly, pause to allow water to soak in to the load, and resume adding water. This process may repeat until the correct amount of water has been added for the load. You may also hear water flowing through the dispenser, adding detergent to the load.

NOTE: Avoid opening the lid during sensing. The sensing process will start over when the washer is restarted. The sensing light may also come on during the Soak and Wash portions of the cycle. This is normal.

If there's no water, then Page 13

Washer won't run or fill, washer stops working, or wash light remains on (indicating that the washer was unable to fill appropriately)

Check for proper water supply.

Both hoses must be attached and have water flowing to

inlet valve.

Both hot and cold water faucets must be turned on.

Check that inlet valve screens have not become clogged.

Check for any kinks in inlet hoses, which can restrict water flow.

Or you have an inlet valve that is not working

Kenmore he3 washer stops at rinse cycle and gives me fh error code and beeping

The error code "FH" means there is an problem with either the water fill detector sense or the Detergent controller. They are located on opposite corners on the top under the machine's cover. The detergent control is painfully obvious. The water fill sense is located next to the ac power cord on the right rear wall. Before you order anything check the back panel's main computer board for bad electrical connections to the connectors as they are notoriously known for being of poor quality and will cause a multitude of error codes. Adding a bit of solder to all the connections is the best fix for this machine.

Good luck!

Atwood 7920-11 furnace will not light. I am trying to light the furnace on my 2006 Jayfeather 19H camper that is an Atwood and looks to be an automated pilot lighting system but I continually get a flame...

Your electrode acts as flame sense as well. Remove electrode and clean it thoroughly/carefully especially at end where flame would be sensed and retry. Be sure connections on high tension wire is good and clean as well as connector and contacts on circuit board as well. If still same result, replace electrode.

It is new and it will not even start the drum rotating in the sensing (initial) start up

The drum doesn't rotate in the sensing stage. This is when the washer is determining how much water will be needed based on the weight of the items in the washer. Once it has been determined, the water will go into the machine and THEN the agitation will begin. That's why the lid locks during the sensing stage: so we don't keep adding another item or two because that will throw off the calculations the machine is making when it's "sensing." My Cabrio is less than a year old and I still want to open the lid to see if there's enough water in there. But that's no longer necessary with all this new technology.
I hope this helps you out! If it does, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice. Thanks!

Fig. Fig. 4: Once the outlet is removed, you can remove the thermostat

  1. Thoroughly clean the gasket mating surfaces.

jturcotte_413.gif

Fig. Fig. 5: Location of thermostat housing and outlet on engine.

To install:

  1. Install the new thermostat with the pellet towards the engine.
  2. Install the outlet to the intake manifold. Apply RTV sealant to the housing bolts and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
  3. Reconnect the radiator hose to the thermostat coolant outlet.
  4. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
  5. Refill the coolant and check for leaks.

When adding coolant, it is important that you use DEX-COOL® (orange colored, silicate-free) coolant. If silicate coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner.
  1. Connect the negative battery cable.

My dryer does not completely dry the clothes when we use the dryness sensing option. It does fine when we use the timer. Is there a moisture sensor that I might be able to replace ?

Dryers with electronic control and auto dry cycle indeed use moisture sensors for the auto drying to work. The problem is absolutely associated with the failure of the moisture sensors, especially when the timed dry cycle works fine. Either the connection of the sensors to the electronic control is loose or the sensors are covered with thin film that prevents it to sense the proper moisture content of the clothes.

Clean the moisture sensor bars thoroughly and make sure its connections are snug fit. Reseat the connections several times to clean off dirt and corrosion build up in the connectors and terminals. The last thing to look into is the electronic control if all resort fail to address the issue, that is, clean sensor bars and good terminal connections.

Indicate the exact model number of the dryer should you need further or more specific troubleshooting and repair advice.
