I have a ctm hs 890 scooter. I made a sudden stop by pulling the hand brake and the scooter will not engage in forward or reverse now.

Sounds like a throttle pot issue.

No connection from control to circuit board

H i, is there a click from the rear of the scooter when you push the lever to go forward or backwards ??

first of all disconnect one battery, now located the controller and follow the leads to the motor and brake , disconnect look at the connectors and refit , using contact cleaner if possible, making sure they are a good fit,,,

couple of points,,

The wiring from the throttle lever to the controller may be damaged so the controller never see's the pot move (resistance change) as it were..


At worse the controller may have failed, i offer a free testing service,, you only pay the return postage..

Sounds like throttle pot needs replacing.

Check voltage at the charging socket of the scooter. The 2 outside pins.

Brake fault or your brake lever is in freewheel position.
