Trying to charge dm620 recorder but flashes "please wait remote" I don't have a remote and I can't charge the unit

If it's like the DM-420, you have to read in the instructions to 1. put the device in 'Hold' and 2. then press the stop key and while keeping the stop key down, 3. plug the usb cable into the device. You'll still get the "Please Wait (Remote)" message but you'll also get the Orange LED charging light to turn on and the word "Charging" will appear at the top of the display with the universal "battery is charging" icon.

Olympus ws500m wont charge to computer

It's not supposed to. The WS-500m uses standard AA batteries, either disposables or rechargeables. If you want to use rechargeables, you must charge them outside the recorder using a separate battery charger.

SD Card Write Speed Too Slow

Hey Jack! Certainly you've found a solution by now but maybe some poor soul is seeking the solution like I was.I had my Pockettrax CX saying "Memory Full" although I'd deleted everything. What helped finally: I formatted the SD. Now I've got all the memory back. Don't know if that would help the recording speed. but maybe. IMPORTANT: SAVE ANY FILES on your LAPTOP before formatting the SD.Here's how to format the SD:Go to Menu.Click on "Common Menu"Scroll down until you get to "Format"Press "Yes""Formatting SD" comes up and, Voila,You've got more space.

Card indicates memory error what can be done to correct this problem and also save dictation already on there ?

Hi cazpell,

If you're encountering a memory error, it is often caused by the battery pack. Battery packs included with the DS-4000 are rechargeable battery packs. This problem is likely to happen on the DS-4000 when a NEW battery pack is being used. The battery pack out of the box does not hold enough charge to power up the recorder through its initial start-up procedure.

1. Please turn off the recorder.

2. Remove the battery pack and memory card for 20 seconds.

3. Install the memory card in the card slot.

4. Install new AAA batteries before you turn ON the DS-4000.

5. Your battery pack may also not be fully charged. All new battery packs must be fully charged from 2.5 to 3 hours before first time use.

6. For the first week to 10 days of use, it is recommended to recharge the battery pack as often as possible. This will exercise it and improve its charge-hold capacity.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Access error, new batteries don't help

From Sony Help... Error: ACCESS

Solution:
The battery indicator will flash and/or the IC recorder will display the error ACCESS when the batteries are low. Install new, fully-charged batteries to resolve this issue.

NOTE: Be sure to install the type of batteries specified in the user manual. Manuals are available online through the Manuals/Specs/Warranty link on this page.

The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.

Olympus DM-20

first question batteries in correct positions
second did you do product upgrade

http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_product.asp?id=921

this is a link to software update

did you know that your recorder has usb connection
now most usb connected products usually have chargible battery's and some can only run with particular chargible battery i would try new propper chargible batterys and then dock to the usb station it should show the battery charge output and input you might have some chance fried your recorder by putting in non chargible battery's

there are places that exchange recorders but never heard one that repairs them you might want to take back to where purchased and exchange for new
