Have you tried:

1) Going into the settings and recalibrating the screen. You can access the settings by turning on the DS with no game in, and pressing the tiny icon at the bottom of the screen.

2) Cleaning the edge of the screen with a toothbrush - get the bristles right into the gaps around the touchscreen. Bits of dirt, food, get trapped in there and confuse the touchscreen.

If neither of these work then you probably need a replacement screen. You can get these and do it yourself but its very difficult.

Things under keyboard?

Take the keyboard out and make sure this is no debris underneath it like little plastic pieces, possible screws, etc. If there is no debris there then with the keyboard out, press on the keys and if it still feels like there is something in the keyboard. then the plastic tactile under the key that is bad. They have a habit of going bad after so many times being pressed on. You might have several keys that are like this. With the keyboard out if it doesn't feel like something is underneath the keyboard THEN at that point it could be your cooling system depending on how its installed and how close to the keyboard it is.

Keyboard and mouse ps2 usb not working

hi, only advice I have is to try different keyboard, the most basic keyboard you can find - looks like the OS is not picking up the drivers for your input devices - usually if you have an old keyboard it seems to work!

Bios flash

hi there,
It seems your keyboard has a electronic circuit breakdown.
Im very sure that just replacing the keyboard will solve your problem. The keyboard has a circuitry inside which send different signals depending on which key is pressed.
formating and OS reinstallation should alwaz be kept as last resort
also i would like to remind you Please do not perform a bios flash unless required.Theres a high chance of completly ruining your motherboard during this stage.
I would recomend you borrow a keyboard from a friend and try it out.
Im sure your problem will be solved.
if you are currently using ps2 port you may consider using a usb keyboard.
Hope this answers your question

Asus Keyboard Problem

You may have a problem with the keys on your keyboard sticking. And it could be the ALT key that's sticking. You can try to remove the keyboard unplug and reconnect the cable underneath it. Or better yet, try an external keyboard see if its doing the same thing so that you will have a better conclusion if its the keyboard or just the settings on your OS or BIOS.

Hope this helps!
