Acer erecovery management

i think your back - up broken dow.  its a known acer problem when the system using for 1 year or more

I once had to reorder restore disks for the customer. They didnt even work. I think there was something wrong with the hard drive. It didnt even need the eRecovery Management tool, they were just plain ol boot disks.

You should run some diagnostics on your laptop, make sure you dont have faulty hardware.

Also, I believe Acer has a patch for this problem. I tried it, but it didnt work, I think beucase the hard drive was done, but it might work for you, let me see if I can find it....

Worth a try, if it doesnt work, its not like its going to hurt anything by having an updated eRecovery.
