Danby DPAC 8099 Moisture Removal problem

My unit has performed well for a couple of years. It sits idle from summer to summer until I need it - I recently put it back into service and it seems to cool fine, but there is no moisture being removed. I ran it for a few hours thinking that might jump start it, but still nothing. Is there a filter or a procedure I can perform to get this aspect started again? Kurt I just picked this unit up on Craigslist and the dehumidifier isn't working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open the front area of the unit with a proper screw driver and then apply hot air for sometime with a hair dryer or a blower on the circuit board area.to make the moisture dry if collected in the area.then apply the cold air with the help of a blower for sometimes to all the parts where you think dust can be collected.let the unit serviced , but still blow the air.

this will help.
for further assistance please feel free.

thanks.

Better to send to repair service for cleaning the dirt and change some spare parts of your machine if it has a faulty parts. so that they can replace and provide with a correct procedure. hope that helps!

We have 2 Danby air conditioners. One is a Danby Designer, Model DPAC 10060 and the other is a Danby Silhouette Model DPAC 12006. The venting hoses have broken to pieces and we need to buy new ones that...

You can purchase similar hoses at most home improvement center. Take a section of the old hose with you to get the right diameter and use the existing fittings to attach them to the unint and the window exhaust. What you may find is a better quality hose/duct, than what came with the unit. You may have to buy more than you need in length, but then you'll have some left over, if you ever have to replace it again.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

This sounds like it could be a power supply problem. It may be very simple. I think I would first just unplug the unit, open it up, look for the PS connectors, and check/wiggle them to make sure there is good contact.

I went to the Danby's website:
https://www.danby.com/

And I was unable to find any service or owner's manuals in PDF format. The site does however have a locator for service shops. Good Luck!

Danby DPAC 8099 Moisture Removal problem

If the dew point of the air in your place of operation is low you will not get moisture out of the air. Generally when the unit is first used it lowers the indoor humidity and you get a lot of moisture. Once things settle out the amount of moisture will decrease.
