Follow these steps to delete all pictures from the memory card in your Sony Cybershot camera
Delete All Pictures from Sony Cybershot
Step 1
Turn on camera and make sure it is charged.
Step 2
Press the Playback button (confirm that you want to remove all pictures from the memory card)
Please note - at this point, if you hit the delete button the camera will delete one picture at a time. Before I figured out how to delete all pics this was the point where I got upset, thinking that I had to delete 600 pictures...one at a time.
One way is to plug it in to a pc or laptop without the memory card the save the pictures on the pc. After put the memory card in the camera and move the pictures in the camera again so it goes in the memory card. All pictures you take with the memory card automatically go in the memory card.
There is a problem inside the camera with the wire harness/cable connection to the screen. They are know to come loose over time. If you tap rather briskly on the front of the camera right on the word Cybershot it should reconnect it. Worked on mine but you may need to do it now & again. The altenative is to have the camera dismantled and the connector pushed back onto the screen.
Now a couple months later I have a different problem, it says to turn the power on and off again when I turn it on to take pictures.
