Why do the speakers on myadvent monza v200 work when i first power up ,but then stop working?

Something in the PC software is taking over from the inbuilt sound controller.

Try asking a question in the PC software section for your particular O/S.

Only bass driver working on the pair. tweeter and mid range cones not working.

hi,
check the tweeter and mid range. its coil may become faulty.
for checking the speakers carefully remove the speakers one by one, remove its connections.
and check the speakers with a AAA cell. is it producing cracking sound. if not the speakers coils are burned.

I am unable to activate my speakers - after accessing sounds via the control panel the volume control is greyed out. The speakers are correctly connected

So we're talking about a PC here, right?

Perhaps you could fill in some details as everything is software-controlled. Can you access your soundcard controls? It probably overrides the basic system stuff.

The tweeter and upper mid-range speaker quit working in one of my JBL s412p speakers. All wires are connected. Would this be a cross-over assembly problem? If so, where can I purchase a replacement?

Remove the speaker wire from your amplifier. Using a 1.5v battery place the wire on both ends of the battery. Observe if you can hear a cracking sound on the tweeter and the mid-range. If there is no sound., your speaker is busted and needs to be rewind or replaced.

The sound on one of my speakers is breaking up and crackling terribly, especially on songs with more bass. What can I try?

try to exchange your left and right speaker to confirm. where the cracking noise come? it could be from speaker or your amp itself. 1.if after exchange speaker, it still happen on same speaker then is your speaker already damage could be the cone edge or the coil.
2.If happen on same side from your amp, then that channel output is damage from amplifier.

Speakers crack and volume decreases. Wiggling the speaker wire where it plugs into the computer causes additional cracking noise.

Try to identify if all the speakers cracking sounds comes when wiggling the cable that connects them with the pc. In that case the easiest way is to replace this cable with a new one, like this.
If the problem isn't only at the cable post back.
Also in any case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

5.1 SPEAKER SETTINGS CHANGE AT EVERY RESTART

having multiple os's should not effect the settings it sounds like something directly related to the software you all are running for the surround. what is this sofware and is it updated, does it belong to the sound card or the speaker setup ?
