SOURCE: cant upload photo from my digital camera to my computer

There is probably software that came with your camera that you can install for automatic reading --if so you need to visit their webpage to see if a driver update is available before you use it.

Otherwise you can do it manually by hooking up your camera or reader and opening My Computer -- look for an added drive, that will be your photos. Open it and you can save to your hard drive.

I was using my olympus XD picture card about 2 weeks ago in my camera to take photos of a birthday party. There is ALOT of precious photos on the card. I left the card for awhile without uploading the...

If you do not own a media card reader for your PC go and buy one so that you can plug your XD card directly into your computer. Then download this software.

You will then have an idea if you will be able to recover the pictures from your card. Your other option is to pay a data recovery company which could run you hundreds of dollars.

How to upload the photos in my profile

If you have a digital camera with a removable SD card it is usually faster to remove the SD card and then to connected to a card reader which it self is connected to a USB port on your PC. The card should show up on the PC in one of the "drives" that appeared after plugging the card reader in the PC. All it takes now is to copy the photos from the card to a suitable folder on the PC main hard disk. Don't forget to back up.

Uploading problem

There are a few different ways to upload them. I have found that when I connect the camera to the computer, sometimes I get scrambled photos. When I use a card reader, connected directly into the USB port, I get all good pictures. If I connect the camera OR the card reader to a USB hub, at least half of my pictures get scrambled. I take 3-4 thousand photos in a years time. I was happy to end the problem.

The easiest way to do this would be to buy a card reader for you PC. You can buy an external one that plugs into the USB port.

Another way is to used a computer with a SD reader and upload it into a flash drive. Once you have the flash drive, you can upload the pictures using your flash drive into the frame.
