Check the sensor lever spring and cable on top of dual path guide (on top of fuser unit) also if the door stopper has been broken there is a good chance the door may be slightly deformed in which case a gentle adjustment may be reqd. check on the diverter solenoid there should be NO spring attached to the white guide. that is supposed to be removed when the adu option is fitted.

SOURCE: savin copier 9400d error code 542

I believe that code has to do with the fixing unit. Try to reset it, press the yellow clear botton once then the #"s 1-0-7 then the red stop botton. The display should change.... turn the copier off then back on.. It should reset the code for you.... Just a question dose it have a finisher on it? If it dose have you tried to unplug the finisher with the power off then turn it back on...Is the code gone..if so you have a problem with the finisher... I work on to many different brands.... Good Luck

SOURCE: Copier jams after making one copy

Is the jam Physical? (Damaged lead edge where it may have caught some thing)
Is the jam Timing (paper if perfect, it just stopped.)
If it is Physical then you need to look for the obstruction, paper clip, staple, or small piece of paper. Check very carefully, remove any foreign matter and retry.

If it is a timing jam, the start by removing the paper, check inside the the paper feed area for foreign material, fan the paper and carefully reinstall it, making sure it is the right size paper for the paper cassette. if it has movable guides in the tray, be sure they are firmly against the paper on all sides.

Close up the machine and try again.

Hope this helps.

Cannot copy two side.paper always jam

Are you sure there is not something blocking the paper going inot the duplexer. I've had one of the fuser separation claws fall off and block the path. Now if that is not the case then check to make sure some of the sensor arms don't have paper cuts in them. This will cause an intermittent delay jam. Jam codes in service mode will also help.

This tells me your DUPLEXER is the one causing the jam, Ok like when you open the duplexer do you see the paper in their
second does your copier indicae that the duplexer is in stalled ?m print the config page to verify. if it worked ok until this incident then your paper feed tires in your Duplexer is worn and needs to be replaced, do not do this yourself call a Service tech or A dealer to do so, uf your in CT we can help.

Paper Jam E54

The one crinkled at the end on the left door is the problem.
Since it jammed it stops the whole copying process, ( you were most likely doing duplex)
The reasons for the crinkled paper are
1- the fingers or claws at the exit are worn and catch the paper instead of sliding them out.
2- you are copying something that has a black edge and is getting caught on those fingers ( or claws)
3- The rollers at the exit are in bad shape :

anyway check out this link and go to error codes :
