Blown fuse

If the fuse you are blowing is in your fuse box in house then your steamer is using more power than the fuse can carry. Move to an outlet powered by a larger fuse. Do not recommend changing fuse to a larger amp fuse because this could cause a fire hazard.

Have a hartke lh1000 head . played about 5 total hours then blew the fuse. is this something i shoud be worried about?

If the fuse is correct ( check manual) it shouldn't blow under normal operation. Once in while a fuse will break internally and thus blow the fuse. look close at the blown fuse If it is a "violent" blow (totally black inside) then you have an overload condition. I would use an ohm meter to check the connection to the speakers. Usually it should be between 8 ohms and 4 ohms if the number is lower than 4 ohms your speakers or wiring are putting to much of a load on the amp. If the fuse was not a "violent" blown fuse then replace with a new fuse of the exact proper value. many amps use an MDL fuse that is a slow blow fuse and has much different in circuit function than a ACG fuse so use only the exact proper furse that the manufacture recomends. If the load (speaker and wiring) is correct and the fuse is correct and still blows then you have a component problem and the amp will need repair

I got a Marshall MG100HDFX for free from a friend stating it was blown. I asked how this happened and he said that one of his friends plugged in another speaker or amp into the second speaker input in the...

The power amp section has blown parts. You will likely find they use a chip like the TDA7293 as the power amp output and it will be blown, shorted causing the fuse to blow. These cost $6 from Digikey.com. Find a competent tech to replace it and use heat sink compound. Verify the part before ordering one. They come with leads bent either way so make sure you get the one with a matching suffix letter. When firing up after repair, put a 60 watt light bulb in series with the hot power lead to act as a current limiter... saves blowing fuses if there is another problem.

Just bought 2 12 in d3 dual 2 ohm subs with d5 600.4 amp. Need to know how to wire subs. They were in a box already I assumed they were wire at 2 o When i hooked One up to my amp it hit really for Jus...

what wattage are the subs and amp? if your subs are more wattage than your amp, your amp will blow fuses as cant handle the output to your subs. for example. you have 2 500 watt subs and a 300 watt amp, that is no good as amp isnt powerful enough. if you have 2 500 watt subs you need at least a 1200 watt amp to power them both. 200 watt more than the combined wattage of subs as amps should never be turned up to max as they tend to blow and overheat more quickly. 80% volume on amps is reccomended by installers and manufactures.

My nitro bmw-486 amp plays but want put out loud sound

I have the same exact amp. And my friend has the smaller 1600 watt amp, and this happened to his. Basically, just start from scratch. Unhook every single wire, and rewire it. If that doesn't work, look at the side of it, and there are a few knobs that you can adjust using a philips head screwdriver. Try adjusting the bass boost knob.

Blown channel

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Might be time to rep .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. blown-channel-zb4bomd1rt4qms0dqd12kkt2-3-0.jpg
