Question about Lands Phones
Hi, I have an Air Top Dual Phone VOIP/DECT Model ED-4050V. It was working fine up til yesterday. Occasionally I'd have phone conversations where the sound was broken or delayed. Now I can't get any sound at all. My computer desktop speakers are disconnected. I've changed the sound setting in the control panel which was what I was doing in the past. Also checked the batteries. I'm able to call my cell phone but I don't hear it ring on the voip phone. Same with the house phone. I use Yahoo for my voip calls.
Any help is much appreciated.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: VOIP will no ring
Just "VOIP Phone" is not enough information to help you. There are many hundreds of different phones, connections, & setups you could have. What type of phone (make, model number)? Is this a VOIP phone connected through a home network, cable modem etc.. for home use? Is it a single line phone connected to a VOIP box connected to your cable modem? Is it a VOIP phone system connected to regular copper phone lines? Are you using a VOIP phone at home connected to a VOIP phone system at work?

SOURCE: I have an AT&T Merlin
A manual for your unit can be found here.
This guy was built way before VOIP was ever a consideration. It won't support VOIP switching natively.
You would need a VOIP gateway to do the conversion between digital (your VOIP lines) and analog (your Merlin lines).

SOURCE: Phone will not ring
I have the same problem for this hpone. The phone can answer and make call but not ring, of couse the answer machine function does not work. I used Rogers home phone and now the Linksys voip adaptor. But the phone works well with landline. I think the ring votage may not enough to ring the phone. Anyone get the solution?

You should log on to the GUI mode of the Router. There you should find the settings for the VOIP.
Also check this link and you should get the infor specific to the Yahoo VOIP
