Will not turn on even with charged battery

Camera's indicator lamp light blinks indicating insufficient power for camera operation, however, I have fully charged the battery and then when I turn the camera on the indicator light dosen't blink anymore. I tried a friends battery (we have the same camera) and it works in his camera but not mine. I let the battery charge over night and had it in the camera for a while and when I went to check the camera it felt really really warm to touch so I took the battery out and it cooled down. I have had the camera for 1 1/2 years and this is the first time I have had a problem. Please tell me it can be fixed. Thanks.

Re: will not turn on even with charged battery

The same thing happened to me. Your battery clip (the thing that holds your battery in) has probably fallen out. Put in a small piece of folded up paper on top of it and close the slider. This will hold down your battery. Turn on your camera and it should be fine. Hope this helped! :)

If your friends battert worked in his camera but not in yours,That is what you said wasn't it? Then it is not a lack of power. But a camera prolem. The only likely fix is to replace it. But check the makers web site first.

When i try to turn my camera on it flashes a small red light and then it won't turn on, how do i fix this?

The Red indicator flashing in the Camera may be the Access Lamp or the Power Lamp. The Access Lamp is located below the Control buttons and the Power Lamp near to the power button. If the Access Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is accessing the Memory. Do not remove the Memory Stick or Batter while the Access Lamp is lit.

If the Power Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is turned on. If the Lamp is lit in Red it shows that the Battery is not having enough charge. Insert new batteries or charged Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries to resolve the issue.

You may also try power resetting the Camera. To power reset the Camera, remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute and check if the Camera works normally. If the issue persists, service may be required.

Nikon D90 Memory Card Access Blinking

It's a deadly common problem of D90. Fixation:Simply go to the DSLR repair shop and ask them to change the power circuit board of the camera. Will take $60-70 if the board available. Reason of issue:The power control IC get short and feedback the battery power to the battery causing the draining out and other problem like the top LCD back lamp turned ON after turning on the camera. Careful:To avoid this issue in future, after full charge of the battery, do not put it in the camera right then. Wait for the battery to cool down for 5-10 min and then put it in. With the full charge, the battery hold high ampere for a short time. It could damage the power distributor IC suddenly if you put it in the camera right after a full charge. Digimax i5 problem charging battery

■ Charging LED

Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Charging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

If the charging LED doesn't turn to green could mean a signal that the battery is bad or can't charge 100% anymore = too old, needs a new battery. Hope this helps.

Camera won't turn on ...just there is red lamp is workoing

Here is the link to the user manual for your camera if you need it; The red lamp, if it is flashing/blinking indicates that the self-timer function is on - check page 15 for how to turn it off. If the light is steadily on, and it is the battery/power status light, then the indication is that the battery is faulty or not charged - possibly the fault is with the charger, but more likely a new battery will solve the problem. To get a new battery, go to; and they should tell you where you can get one, if no luck with them, please post back with which part of Egypt you are in, and i can try to find you a dealer locally. Hope this helps :)

Even when I immediately switch power source (AC adapter or External Battery Pack) right after the low-battery icon started to blink, the camera operation is still locked.

In cases where the blinking low-battery icon appears indicating insufficient power, wait approximately 8 seconds until the LCD monitor display and the EVF become blank. Then switch to another power source or replace with fresh batteries.
