Question about Dell (1N405) 180-Watt Power Supply
The power is not coming up. I have check fuse, reservoir capacitors, serge capacitors, bridge diode.
i need help
Take the post (power on self test )by shorting active low signal to ground If you checked dc at primary filter (big capacitors) and present then check that is appears at collecter of transistor if not then one 2 watt resistance is faulty replace it and check switching function if working then meter shows infinite reading like 126.96.36.199. if working then check output if not
then check secondary rectifiers that diodes look like transistor and have alluminium heat sink if short replace it
