Question about Panasonic Health & Beauty

Open Question

Es8249 My problem concerns the freestanding self-cleaning unit. I have everything connected properly including the power cord, Panasonic cleaning cartridge(brand new), and water tank (filled). However, when I put the shaver in there it does not give me the option to clean - only charge. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Shaver will not charge or clean in the base

All you have to do is take the base apart. Turn it upside down, and there are two plastic clips on the rear portion of the base. Press them in with a key or screwdriver and wiggle the base a bit to remove the inner portion from the outer shell. Make sure you unplug the unit and remove the cleaning cartridge before doing this. Once it is apart, place a small wedge underneath the portion of the electric contact that sticks out to touch the shaver, and press the back of that portion out so that it slightly bends the contact strip and makes it stick out a little further. Then remove the wedge and put the base back together. It will work again, as the contacts can now protrude to touch the shaver and run the cleaning and charging cycle.

SOURCE: My Braun shaver 8585 has died. Foil, cable, box,

If I understand correctly, the shaver is dead but all other components are in good condition. If this is the case, you should consider ordering a replacement lower unit. See link below

Newer models made by Braun do not use all the same parts as your shaver so this would be a good way to go

SOURCE: Clean and Renew stand for braun 8595 does not seem

The circuit board on the shaver may have become faulty. One thing you can try is to fully charge the shaver first, directly connected to the outlet, and then try using the cleaning base. Also, be sure that the fluid level is sufficient. Lastly, you may be able to buy a used but working condition cleaning station off of eBay. New replacements are a bit costly.

SOURCE: why does my clean and renew station leak all over

I figured out the problem for my Clean & Renew unit. Mine is 2 years old. About 3 months ago, I cleaned the buildup of whisker material from the TOP of the drain port [Left Side as you look at the unit] If you take out the cleaning solution cartridge and turn the unit upside down, you see the pump and the return ports. The return port is the smaller of the two. I found that there was a mass of dried whiskers in a few clumps clogging the return port. These clumps must have come loose and got caught within the drain port. I had noticed when I had the leaking problem I could hear bubbling just after the pump ran and the shaver turned off. I removed the clumps of whiskers and no more bubbling sounds and NO MORE LEAKS. My guess is that the fluid was draining back into the intake area and leaking on top of the cartridge. Hope this helps.

F1 beeping

Hi Andrew! Sounds like the unit is having a runaway temperature concern. F1 or F10 indicates the temperature has become too high for the unit. A professional is required to check the sensor probe in the oven. If the oven is overheating, disconnect its power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, a technician will need to replace the electronic oven control (EOC).

Frigidaire pleb30s9fcd oven overheating whats wrong

Hi there!
From what you have described it sounds like the unit's thermostat and or temperature sensor is not functioning properly. Typically this is not a DIY type of job to complete on your own. Please contact a professional that your manufacturer suggests. Please let me know if you have any other concerns or questions.

If the rest of the unit work properly, then you are having an electronic ignition issue. Contact your manufacturer and then a professional they suggest to have it repaired.

I was using the self cleaning device and the entire thing shut off and now nothing works. "Entire Appliance Does Not Operate"

Hello- Sorry- no good news here. 'Self clean', or self- destruct' as Techs call it, has burned out a circuit or switch somewhere on the unit. The best case is a burned wire connection. The worst case is control circuit failure. The solution involves on-site diagnostics by someone qualified to make sure repairs are needed and done right. Inspection should start at power cord and move to control board. Multiple failures can occur during 'self-clean', but sometimes only one part will fail. Find a good Tech to look it over and give you an estimate before repairs. Remember- Don't 'self-clean'!   It's costly and dangerous.    Please acknowledge this post if helpful.. Have more info if needed.  Thanks-- Ed
