Question about Echo Gas 20 In Blade Double Reciprocating Double Sided Hedge Trimmer SHC225

Open Question

I have an echo HC150 sheer and when I start it up the blade does not move. The throttle goes up and down when I give gas but the blades wont move.

This is a HC150 Echo Hedge Trimmer. Starts up and runs, but blades do not move. I loosen the bolts on the bars but it still does not move.

SOURCE: I need coil and spark plug gap settings for echo

0.026 inch, or 6-8 mm is the plug gap.

The ignition coil air gap range is 0.012 - .016"" or .3 - .4 mm. This is the gap between the flywheel and the ignition coil.

An easy way to gap your coil is use a normal business card between the coil and flywheel, tighten the screws and remove the card.

Changed my TPS & IACV now truck wont start unless given gas

You should be able to look down the throttle body and see into the air bypass chamber that the IAC uses to divert air around the throttle blade. Look to see if the pintle is all the way out closing off the flow of air. When you turn the key on you should see the pintle move back and allow air to move through. If the pintle is not moving that it may be stuck in the bore. Especially if there is a lot of carbon build up in that passage.

Have a echo 150 gas hedge trimmer motor runs blades don't move what could cause that

Inside the bottom panel, is where the grease etc is... you can take the cover off to make sure it's greased up inside, if it's running and the blades aren't moving when you throttle it, then they can be siezed , or the gear under the panel is off line or broke.

Sticky throttle on 200 Chevy Astro

There was a recall on the throttle body blade on the 4.3 a few years back for the throttle body to stick in the close position. Yours being 9 years old makes me think that there not going to do anything for it but give you the solution to the sticky throttle blade.
The solution was to change the blade. You can try cleaning the throttle body blade by spraying throttle body cleaner in to the barrel of the throttle body. If you look down, you'll see the carbon build up and it may just need and good cleaning.
If that does not work, you can buy a new Throttle body blade which is only held on by two screws on the throttle blade shaft.

Start with cleaning the blade and throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Just follow the instruction and you'll be fine.
Keep me posted and good luck.
