DO NOT buy anything from Impactcomputers.com !!! Link for HP AC power module goes to this website, they are thieves. Send wrong parts, charge you to ship it back, and charge huge restocking fees. Customer service at this site are expert at lying to you. Google "complaints for Impactcomputers.com" and you will see they have 96 complaints to the better business bureau in just a few months. You will never get the part you need from them, they will rip you off.

Better to buy the original part.

The price for the replacement depends on where do you live.

Here is the worldwide one :

Hewlett-Packard Low power AC power module (Brick Type) - C8517-84204 (worldwide delivery)

Hewlett-Packard C8517-84204 (UK )
To find the adapter just insert part number in google and get the sellers.

Worldwide operation (100V-240V) Low power - part number : C8517-84204

UK and Ir only operation (100V-240V) Low power - part number : C8517-84202

Europe, excluding UK and Ir operation (220V) Low power - part number : C8517-84201

I recently purchased a C4380 All-In-One and will be using it over the next few months in Europe. Can I simply use a plug adapter or do I need a DC power adapter?

No, you will need a step-up transformer (power adapter) and not just the simple plug adapter, as voltage in the US is 110V, while in continental Europe it is 230~250V. You can purchase this at any electronics shop.

Hope that helps. Kindly "accept" this solution if you found it helpful.

Thanks.

Hp c6100 will not power up? Plugged in and connected.

Hello,

if it does not power up, then it means its having a power problem. it might have worked fine in the past, but that's electronics for you. Power surge, irregular power supply, excess power supply, etc can affect the unit thereby not making it to power on.

This unit must have a power supply board in it where power enters from the mains. A capacitor, fuse, diode, etc may have been defective on the power board and maybe that's why its not making the unit turn on. There might also be some disconnection or something, inside the unit which is not making it to power on.

I believe its uses an adapter, maybe the adapter is defective.

To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter in order to test the components on the power board, once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories store withing our vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect the problem.

Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So it you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a friend that has the ability to help you out.

I wish you the best of luck.

No power HP DeskJet F380 All-In-One Printer

Hi thorchop1,

There are two things that might cause for your HP Printer to get no power at all. First, the power adapter. You may want to try using other power adapter compatible to your system. If using other power adapter works you can buy a new power adapter for your printer. Another thing is, the power supply. If after changing the power adapter and still system will not turn on then you have a bad power supply that needs to be serviced by local repair man or technician from HP.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Power is not comming into the printer

No power to the printer. 1) Either the power adapter is not connected properly.Remove the power cord from main power outlet and connect it to any other electric outlet. Also at the back of the printer there is a socket where the power got get connected.Remove power wire from there too and reconnect it. 2) If the problem is not solved then there are two possibilities:-- A) The power cord is faulty and needs replacement. B) Or the printer circuit board is got short and it has to be replaced. ------------ In both the cases A as well as B you need to get the fault checked by other spare power adapter or power supply board in printer. At local printer repair shops they have this parts in spare. They will get the fault checked and let you know that which part has to be replaced.Either the power adapter or power supply board. The cost of new power adapter is near to $10 and cost of new power supply board is near to $40. -------------- One more thing i want you to check is.In your printer power adapter there is one three pin power wire is connected. That three pin power wire wire goes from main power outlet to the printer adapter. In some cases that three pin power adapter gets faulty. If that three pin power wire is faulty then the cost of that power wire is just $2.So get that three pin power wire also checked. To see how this three pin power wire looks.See the fig below:--- helpmech_1.jpg
If this wire is faulty then its not much costly. ----------- This are all the possibilities that you will have to get checked. To get the fault confirmed.Thanks.Helpmech.

HP 2610 has no power

hi,

try this...

> connect the power chord directly to the wall socket.
> try with different wall socket.
> u said that there is no problem with the adapter, that means the light is lit on the adapter. so there should not be any problem from the wall socket till the adapter.
> check the connection from the adapter to the printer
> make sure that it is securely plugged in to the printer as well as to the adapter.

if nothing happens you can try changing the adapter. because the problem may be on the part which lies from the adapter to the printer. if that is also not working, you may have to service the unit.

thanks and regards
agnel
