Question about Packard Bell Computers & Internet

Open Question

Can't install driver for USB Wi-fi adapter for Packard Bell EASYNOTE SW51-B-012 (Windows XP Pro SP2). System doesn't recognise the type of wi-fi adapter. In previous Win Wista was described as Atheros but on the official PackardBell sites is Ralink RT73 USB Wireless LAN. Chipset recognises just some USB devices but nothing happened after installing drivers for Ralink adapter. Have u got any idea? Is a problem with the driver for Chipset - doesn't recognise all hardware properly? Thank you for any answer or idea... Peter

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: USB 2.0 (Chipset VIA 8237) ECS P4M800-M7 Unknow Device

Hi, John

The USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 is a big issue regarding technology, the 1.1 has maximum speed of 12 megabits where as 2.0 has upto 480 Mbps. And all USB 2.0 devices are compatible with 1.1. Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional are both fully USB 2.0-compliant with the correct drivers.

So in your case it must work properly. But if the USB 2.0 from microsoft got currepted or badly updated by some thirdparty USB 2.0 driver then it will not work. I have been faced this problem. After doing some stuff I found that if I uninstall the USB drivers and reinstall it from microsoft driver then it works.

So, just go to the Device manager and un-install the USB drivers, then reboot the system to parmanently delete the removed driver. Then install the driver from Windows XP CD.

good luck

Thanks
Iqbal

Reinstallment of drivers after fresh system installation of XP

Hello,

You can get the drivers in the website of your computer's manufacturer. After installing the drivers, you can keep them updated to make sure that you won't get any driver issues in the future. You can use RadarSync to keep them updated without you doing anything in your end.

You might be using a lower version of OS in your packard bell computer. You will need to download and install a device driver for your hitachi HDD. Im not sure of the HDD model that you have but you can try searching the driver for the packard bell Operating system

Try installing Linux to make sure that the hardware is working properly. Is it possible that they are switched off in bios, thereby preventing Windoze from finding them ?
