thanks cpenny29 for your answer ;), i already know this solution to reset bios in desktop computers, but i read in a lot of forums about this solution not work well, for each laptop´s company exist many passwords (official laptop´s company support) or some way to crack the bios.

    Thanks, Juan

You will need to reset the BOIS by removing the CMOS battery of your laptop and placing it back after about 10sec or short the jumper for the CMOS. this requires you to open your laptop and locating the CMOS battery cell on the motherboard.

you can disconnect the backup battery from the motherboard this should reset all settings including password, you will probably have to open up the case of the notebook to find the battery.

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5535 with password in the bios

Unfortunately, if he put a sysetm BIOS password and doesn't remember it, you need to contact Acer's website.

You can have a electronics technician jumper all electrical current to wipe out the BIOS password, but contact acer first to make sure that there is not another method.

hI,

You need to reset your bios, this will erase all your cmos data, incluiding your password. You nned to locate and remove cmos battery, in this model you will find the battery below your laptop, you nned to remove your back doors, locate your battery wich it is connected thru a little white conenctor to your Mobo, disconect, turn on your laptop, press f10 and this will go to your bios, remove all pass word in your security menu, turn off your laptop and reconnect your cmos battery, you will need to setup your dates corrctly.

This will resolve your issue

New HDD inserted into Pavilion ZD7000 - will not boot from XP CD

Try your old HDD in it and see if that works. If it does work then nothing is damaged except your DVD drive/Controller. Try putting the new HDD in another computer, installing windows then putting it back in the HP. If all else fails then flash the bios with an updated image and see if that rectifies the problem.

Forgot system password

Hi,
There is a free program called Ophcrack. Download it, burn it to a CD, put it in your CD drive and reboot (You'll have to go into the BIOS at startup and change the primary boot device to cd-rom). It will read the password for you. Make sure you burn it as an iso image and not just save it to a CD. If you don't know how to do that, read this link:
http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

Ophcrack download:
http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/

Hope this helps
