The easiest way to clean the laptop up is to reinstall windows and reformat the hard drive. Was there a set of recovery disks/CDs with this laptop? If so you can do a system recovery and get it to factory specs. If no disks are available you may be able to create them yourself. information on this procedure should be on the HP web site where you may be able to purchase a set of disks/CDs.

Hi, I would contact the store and ask them what they set their password to. Without a restore or windows disk you won't be able to reset it to factory condition or reformat and reinstall windows. They should be able to give you the password and from there you can get in and change the password etc.

The naughty sales person should have explained, yes! you need a connector/adapter. not expensive just a pain to have too return to purchase.

No key needed, just boot from the recovery cd that came with the laptop when you bought it and follow the instructions on the screen.

The best thing you could do is contact HP customer care and oder a restoration disk in english.
They will charge you about $22.00 usd.
or you can download a new BIOS and reload drivers and operating system yourself.
If you would like to try, you can go to the HP website and type in your model and load your sound drivers their.
Type in HP.com, then go to support and downloads, fallow the instructions and pic your operating system.
Next, pic your sound drivers and load them.

oh no, i hate to say this but, you have contracted a serious virus. you will have to grab the recovery disk and insert it. shut the laptop down and unplug for 3 min then, restart and restore the entire unit. do not repair. you will need to totally restore the complete OS. clear all partition's. if you click the repair option, the virus will remain on the partitioned drive.

i dont know if this will work, restart and press f8, enter safemode and you will see 2user option, select which one will make u able to log in, if this successful,
1. system restore: restore your computer on the date before he reset the password
or
2. open control panel and create new account

the last option is format it and i know you don't want to do that.
