I GOT THE PANASONIC MODEL NV - DS 65. I AHVE USB CABLE WITH THAT ONE. BUT VIDEO IS GET IN TO COMPUTER. COULD U PL HEALP ME WHO TO MY VIDEO IN THE COMPUTER.
use the USB cable only for still pix. you would need a Firewire cable to be connected from your DV point in your camera to the Firewire port on your PC. Most PCs do not have Firewire readily installed. You can buy it the firewire card IE1994 card - its cheap. the IE1994 card is used for laptops and the other kind is the one you can plug into an empty card slot on your PC. You need to take off the cover of your PC and push in the Firewire Card. Put the cover back on and its plug n play.
Firewire transfers at 10x the speed of USB 2.0. You will never have the problem of dropping even one frame. Its worked for me!!!

These things work like the old school VCR storage devices, just smaller. With VCR's the power from the motor is transferred to the pulleys with a belt. I looked down in there, and sure enough there is a little belt. It's whimpy and probably stretched. I bet that is the problem. They probably designed it to fall apart if you open the case. On the parts list I see "Timing belt LZDV0012" and it cost $2.18 http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/epartr/PartsListChoice.asp?validate=1 S/H is probably $500 Disclaimer: I provided panasonics email in case the camera blows up and u need further assistance.
