Question about Samsung Cell Phones
Go into menu select tools open, select profiles open, open general, open personalise, scroll to message alert tone [it will say off] open and change to the tone you require .these are just general instructions and you may have to get into message alert tones another way but this will give you the general idea. Hope this helps you !

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Depending on your phone company you may or may not be able to do this. Go to settings, Sound Settings, Alert tones, Text Message, then choose. It may not be exactly like that, but if so then I hope I helped!!

Go to PROFILES.
Select (ie) NORMAL.
Scroll to SMS TEXT and depress the pearl ball.
Select OUT OF HOLSTER and set to TONE.
Select RING TONE and select the tone you want.
Select VOLUME and set to your preference.
You might want to do the same for IN HOLSTER.
Good Luck! ~ :)
