What does build template errror message mean??

I just printed a test page from the lexmark solution center but everytime I try to access the printer from the icon, I get the "printing apllication has stopped working message."

Please make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark software/ printer communication processes in the programs rules/ permissions for your firewall.
You can also try to update your printer software by downloading the printer driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/oLDVDp. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.
After the re-install process is successful, try to open the Lexmark Solution Center again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Installed new cartridge still won't print


It could be that your printhead needs cleaning. Open the Lexmark Solution Center application on your computer. Go to the Maintenance tab and select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page, forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them. Then try to print a document again to verify that the print quality has improved.

How do i print a test page on a lexmark z515 after i install the cartridges


Please follow the steps below on how to print a test page on the Lexmark Z515 printer:
  1. Go to Start, Programs (Windows XP: All Programs), Lexmark Z510 Series.
  2. Click on Lexmark Solution Center.
  3. Click on the Maintenance button on the left of the screen.
  4. Click on Print Test Page.

Power off the printer/MFP and open the toner access door. Reseat all of the toner cartridges. Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page.

Power off the printer/MFP and remove the developer unit for the color specified in the error message, and then reseat it. Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page.

THE 942.02 Service Yellow TMC Sens message is in the screen. What does it mean. It will not let me print


Error indicates a problem with the Cyan toner cartridge/developer. Try the following steps:
Power off the printer/MFP and open the toner access door. Reseat all of the toner cartridges. Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page. Did the error message return? Power off the printer/MFP and remove the developer unit for the color specified in the error message, and then reseat it. Try printing another test page, verify if you're still getting the same error. It is possible that specified color's toner cartridge and developer unit are defective. If you have a replacement toner cartridge and developer, install them as a test and print a trial page.

I installed a new color cartridge in my printer but it comes up with cartridge missing and i can't get to print in color


Power off the All-In-One and remove the power adapter (brick) from the back of the unit. Wait 20 seconds, reinsert the adapter, and power the unit on.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to step 2.
No: Print a test page. If the test page prints, the error is resolved. 2
Reset the All-In-One's factory defaults (click here for instructions).
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Checking the Cartridges.

I installed new cartridges in my X2550 Lexmark I want to print a test page. It scanned the test page but will not print it. What do I do?


it depends on the error message why the test page won't print. If it just won't print at all, try to reseat the paper into the printer and turn off/on the printer then try to print the test page.

If it doesnt, then turn off the printer, remove cables. And then press and hold the power button on the printer for 5 seconds . Reinsert cables and turn on the printer and print the test page anew....

Prints one or to pages then stops. Have to reset computer to get it to work. No test doesn't work. It is like it runs out of memory.


Try to run a test for continuous print test page in diagnostics mode. To enter the Diagnostics mode:
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Open the front access door.
3. Turn on the printer while pressing and holding Cancel .
4. Close the front access door once the Error light displays. Print the menu page by pressing and holding Continue until all of the lights flash. Follow the instructions on
the menu page to access the menu items.

Continuously print pages containing cross lines, printer information, and margin settings. Press and hold until the Continue button lights flash to begin. Press Cancel to stop.

Make sure he selects the "Cont Prt Simplex Tray 1" option

What the error means:

The 994 Density Error indicates that the printer's system card has encountered an unrecoverable error.

What to do:

This error normally requires a service call. However, on certain rare occasions, such as a power fluctuation or a stray static discharge in the vicinity of the printer, can cause a false 994 Density Error message to appear. In such cases, the error is only temporary and can be easily resolved without service. Follow the steps in the table to check.
