Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
I have a Dell Inspiron 1100, and the number lock has never seemed to work. I hold down my function key and push my number lock key on top of the keyboard. The light over the num lock symbol comes on, but no numbers appear. I CAN use the number pad by holding down "function" as I type each character. I just can't lock it on. Have I changed a setting in my computer somewhere that keeps it from locking on?? Thanks..
When enabled, this allows the user to type numbers by pressing the keys on the number pad, rather than having them act as up, down, left, right, page up, end, and so forth.
in bios is where you can set number lock to enable at start up
so restart and enter set up(bios) and change it to lock numbers at start up
if you need more help just let me know
